We repair old buzzer systems and install new intercom panels, so tenants can buzz guests in from upstairs.
What goes wrong with an old buzzer?
- The button rings nothing upstairs.
- One floor or one line has gone dead.
- The voice is too faint or full of noise.
- The door release does not open the door.
- The panel out front is broken or missing buttons.
Repair the old one or install a new one?
If it is one dead line or one bad release, a repair is usually enough. If the wiring and panel are worn all through the building, a new panel makes more sense. We look at it, tell you what we found, and quote it in writing.
What does a new intercom look like?
For new work we fit modern entrance panels with a touch screen and camera, set neatly into the wall beside the door. Tenants can answer on an indoor unit, and depending on the system, on a phone. Old brick stays old, and the panel looks new.
What happens on the job?
Your call and your photo tell us which parts to bring. When we get to the door, we point out what is worn or broken and tell you what we plan to do. Then we do the work and try every lock and key with you before we pack up.
Questions we get
Do you work on single buildings or just big ones?
Both. We work on small walk-ups and larger buildings all over our area.
Can the door release be fixed separately?
Yes. Often the release or strike is the only thing that has failed.
Can I send a picture of the panel?
Please do. Text a photo of the panel and we can usually tell you what it needs.
